At sixteen Jason's mother gave birth to him and a few years later she had another son and a daughter. He was raised with little contact with his father. Jason spent much of his childhood and teen years in institutions. His experiences influenced his life choices to an extent but he never let them change his kind heart.
Jason spends much of his free time working out and focusing on his health. He also enjoys making jewelry. His designs are influenced by his personal style. He sells his designs at the Angola Prison Rodeo which takes place twice annually in April and October. His custom work can also be found here and all proceeds go towards helping him to regain his freedom.
Jason found himself in a situation in 1999 where he was wrongly convicted of two murders. The jury trial ended non-unanimously. He was excluded through DNA evidence and had proof that he was not at the scene of the crime and witnesses to prove his alibi. He was sentenced to 2 life sentences with hard labor plus 30 years. He is fighting to have further evidence tested to hopefully identify the individual who took two men's lives.
